Hello Friends!
I am Crystal Fuchs (Fox) of Salt-Light Photography. I am a Christian homeschooling mama to two sweet and ornery boys & most days you will find me with a mom bun and a coffee or tea in hand reading to them or helping them with school work. I have been married to my husband Aaron for 16 years… he is hilarious and caring & is my second shooter for weddings. We started going out on a mission trip to India & got married 6 months later. On weekends, my favorite thing to do is go hiking with my family & I am always looking for new locations to shoot sessions.

I am a creative at heart. I started photography around 2010 when my husband bought me my first Canon & I would take pictures posing our Children’s home boys on hikes. Then I really got back into it after my first son was born in 2012 & I started taking classes. I think when I first started I had no idea how much of a blessing it would be to bring me so many client-friends. I really enjoy getting to know all of my clients and their families... To see your love and patience toward your families is one of my favorite parts! & I just love capturing my clients playing together & interacting with genuine emotion.
Take the time to get in front of the camera. As a photographer, I was always behind the camera. As mothers, we do the same…we think our kids pictures are more important than ours. I get it…I have a million flaws and I see all of them. But what will my kids have of me when I am gone? Mostly only photos, and if there aren’t any, then what? It is extremely important. Think of the photos you have of your mom…for most of us there are only a few, but they are cherished. She is part of your identity as her child. To see photos of her interacting with you is even better. They let you know you are loved, and remind you of a bond that you share. These photos become memories.

We love: Tea time, board games, hiking, our chickens, reading lots & lots of books, learning & doing school in our PJ’s, enjoying my son’s baking.
My Husband & My Best Friend
Aaron is my better-half, always keeps me laughing, and the one that tells me to go to bed when I want to stay up late editing. We met through his roommate in college when he asked us both to go on a mission trip to India. We had our first kiss behind an elevator in India. We came home, dated for 5 months, he proposed, then we were married a month later! Since then we have went to India a few more times, were Houseparents at a Children’s Home for 10 years, have had two awesome boys of our own. Aaron is my second shooter at weddings and is always making sure I have all that I need and that everything is taken care of. On the regular day he works as a cattle farm manager & is always building things.
